In this holy month, when Dad broke the news that he has decided on my wedding location, I felt happy & all I could say is that, Alhamdulilah.
Both my parents & I including my baby sister love this place because it is spacious & the spread of food that they offer. For me I love this place because it is near to beau's wedding location that is The Luzerne.
Now we have to do now is make an appointment with Miss Nan & do the necessary discussions with her.
Dad gave the green light for me to proceed with booking of pelamin and wedding invites.
Yup that is all. And both beau & I have decided to leave out some things for the wedding cos we feel like it's not needed.
Why some TBC? Well, I've been stalking their FB/IG to view their works and I am so impressed. Just waiting the right time to email them. And I shall do a post for each of them as to why they are my favorites.
When you have a baby sister who have her own online bake shop, you ask her to bake your wedding berkats but I will help of course la.

It is 9 months & 8 days to the wedding & I've yet to have a location? Why? My dad is stalling. Urrghhhh! Went to survey a number of places but none is yet to be confirm.
Bila ditanya, katanya "Kahwin next year March kan? Lama lagi. Puasa belom, hari raya pon belom. Lepas raya boleh settle."
Pasal my dad delaying on the location, ALL of my wedding plans have to put on hold. I can't book wedding cards, tak boleh book pelamin, nak plan itinery with mak andam & beau pon cannot.
Some of you might asking, why I must wait for my dad, right? Cos he's paying for everything but kalau I have the money to pay on my own pon, he need to approve the location. Bottomline is I still need his approval.
One of my aunt once told my mum this, "Tempat banyak kat Singapore tapi the important thing is whether the date that you want is available."
Mum also having a big question mark as to why dad is delaying to the point she said, "If by the 6th months to the wedding & dad have yet to book a location, nikah je kat mahkamah & you shall proceed with booking the Tok kadi etc."
I kinda agree with mum despite its not my dream but some people just love to dampen your mood.
Honestly, I'm tired of waiting especially if you have been the middle person for your dad to email here and there but in the end its nothing.
Sometimes, I feel like calling off any wedding on my side & I shall just be on guy's side the whole. Biar lah orang tanya "Salleh kenapa tak buat majlis?" Sebab Cik Salleh terhega-hega.
Pardon me, but I just need to vent out. Everyday I was hoping dad will told me this, "Sabrina, daddy da book"

As mention previously, after viewing the first venue at Berlayer Terrace, we've decided to have a look at Asian Market Cafe.
And so we did since there were Ethnic Wedding Showcase at Asian Market Cafe that happened today, 28 Feb 2015.
Miss Wendy guide us through everything. They gave us a folder filled with all the wedding details & all the information you need is in there. Kudos. They were all well-prepared.
I must say the appointment was a quick one cos my parents just wanna know the layout of the place, the berkats they offer & a few questions that my parents had for Miss Wendy. As for me, I wanna see the pelamin. Maklom lah pelamin were from Jentayu Gallery. BTB mane yang tak suka kan.
My mum & I have started listing down the guests. I'm surprise with the fact that we have 164 inclusive of my maternal and paternal side. Really not your typical malay wedding eh.
She said if we are able to invite people of not more than 300 pax, she will go for Asian Market Cafe cos 300*70(yes 70 per head) =21,000. As compared to Berlayer Terrace, it will be cheaper & the things that Asian Market Cafe offer are way more in terms of the buffet spread, hotel accommodation & etc.
As for me, I will leave it to my parents as I don't mind either one of the venue. Cos the one who will make the final decision is my dad.

It's not easy researching for wedding venues for your parents. Macam dorang yang kahwin pula. Enquiries sent to many venues & none got my parents attention. Its either too far from our place or its over budget.
But I stumbled upon this particular location. So I email this lady name Eve whom asked me to email Kak Ros instead since she's handling malay weddings. I have email Kak Ros afterwhich I told my dad about the package she offer.
When I told him about this location, for the first time I saw him get all excited. Semangat member on computer masok FB so he can show my mum the location. Its Berlayer Terrace @ Keppel Club. I was wondering as to why he was overly excited. Its at Bukit Chermin, where he grow up & where all my Nenek's relatives were from. Macam nostalgic la konon.
For the first time, this is the location that he insisted on visiting. Therefore, we set a date with Kak Ros on 11 Feb 2015 to view the location. Kak Ros is the owner of Wedding & Romance. She's very friendly & very accomodating.
The visit was beneficial as Kak Ros explain everything to us. What got me really excited is that Jentayu Gallery is the official deco for Berlayer Terrace cos I've always wanted Jentayu. The pictures that Kak Ros showed us on her IPad, MasyaAllah its so beautiful!
Kak Ros is also working with Asian Market Cafe & asked my parents if they want to come on 28 February 2015 as they will be having a wedding showcase. Since Asian Market Cafe is one of dad's choice, so why not kan?
As of now, Berlayer Terrace is 90% confirm based on dad's decision. We have to see if dad were to change his mind when we visit Asian Market Cafe.
Mum said, "If Berlayer Terrace is really confirm, it will be your dream being fulfilled cos you've wanted a wedding by the sea." Awwwww my mami remembers.
